Philip Stringfellow

Hello. My name is Philip. I grew up in the south of England and I studied business at the University of Nottingham. After my studies, I moved to Hanoi in Vietnam to study for my CELTA teaching qualification with International House.

I stayed in Hanoi after gaining my CELTA, teaching a vast range of different ages and levels. After two years, I moved to Saigon to become a senior teacher and then manage the academic side of a small school. I found I really enjoyed the challenge of helping people achieve their desired score in the IELTS so they could pursue the career or study that they want.

I strongly believe in learning by doing, getting valuable individual feedback and then trying again. My ideal class has everyone working together and learning from each other’s experience. I love people to ask questions and to get involved. .
